Dieser Typ ist echt der Hammer. Schon die Einleitung hat mich sehr bewegt, als er seinen schweren Sturz beim Radfahren beschreibt und... - ich werde nicht spoilern ;-). Ein Buch, dass ich an einem Wochenende durchgelesen habe weil Rich Roll nicht einfach Aufzählungen von Sport-Ereignissen aneinanderreiht sondern sehr lebendig und nachvollziehbar erzählt, was in ihm vorging. Man kann von Anfang bis Ende mitfiebern. Natürlich ist durch seine Bekanntheit der Ausgang mancher Episoden schon klar, es ist trotzdem spannend, dass aus seiner Sicht beschrieben nachzulesen. Und wenn man betrachtet, "wo" er herkommt, also was er vor seiner erstaunlichen Kehrtwendung mit seinem Leben angefangen hat, dann ist es einfach unglaublich und umso faszinierender, was er macht.Dass er für eigene Produkte etwas Werbung macht, sei ihm verziehen. Er gibt ja darüber hinaus auch viele frei verfügbare Tipps zur Ernährung. Die sind für mich tatsächlich eher nebensächlich (weil ich mir diese und ähnliche Informationen bereits beschafft hatte). Ich habe es einfach sehr genossen, diese Lebensgeschichte zu lesen und zu sehen, wie oft er den Hintern einfach wieder hochbekommt und weitermacht. Ein großes Vorbild. Aus jetziger Perspektve: ich werde wahrscheinlich nie einen Marathon laufen oder gar Ultras, aber auch für die Sachen, die ich mache, kann ich da viel an Motivation herausziehen.

Nachdem ich einen kurzen Teaser zu dem Buch im Netz gelesen hatte, ging ich mir recht hohen Erwartungen an diese Geschichte heran. Zu Anfang wurden diese Erwartungen auch erfüllt, die Schilderungen von Richs Werdegang lesen sich flüssig, v.a. die Schilderungen seines Aufbautrainings fand ich gelungen.Ab dem Mittelteil nervten mich aber seine ständige Verweise auf bestimmte Produkte und Firmen immer mehr. Ganz daneben sind dann die Schilderungen im hinteren Teil, die größtenteils nur noch aus Werbung für seine Produktlinie oder die seiner Freunde bestehen.Der "Adventureteil" bekommt von mir deshalb fünf Sterne, das Buch insgesamt nur drei.

I really enjoyed reading this book.Rich is a great storyteller.Its amazing how he turned his life around and achieved what he has.His memoir Finding Ultra is very inspiring and packed with a lot of info with regards to a whole plant food diet and the immense benefits this can have on an person.I recommend this book and for people to check out the Rich Roll Podcast.

Locker und unterhaltsam geschrieben. Man lernt was übers Innenleben eines Ultraläufers und man lernt viel über veganisches Leben. Insgesamt rund und auch wenn ein wenig Tiefgang und Umfang fehlen absolut lesenswert.Dazu gleich noch Scott Jurek lesen - und dann runter vom Sofa .-)

Rich Roll beschreibt sehr spannend seinen Wandel vom Alkoholiker zum veganen Ultra-Triathleten.Besonders bewegend fand ich Richs Erfahrungen an Tag 4 der EPIC 5. Da leidet man ein bisschen mit und fragt sich, wie er dad überstehen soll. Wahnsinn!Das Buch liest sich sehr leicht und flüssig. Ich konnte es kaum aus der Hand legen.

Er war Professor für Schulpädagogik an der Universität Hamburg (1979-1990) und Gründungsdirektor des «Pädagogischen Landesinstituts Brandenburg» (1991/92). Von 1993 bis zu seiner Emeritierung 2008 arbeitete er als Professor für Schulpädagogik und Wissenschaftlicher Leiter der «Laborschule» an der Universität Bielefeld. Bin im 2. Semester als Teilzeitstudent an der FernUni Hagen (Bildungswissenschaften) und habe dieses Buch parallel zu den Skripten gelesen. Tatsächlich nur "gelesen" und nicht so wie die Skripte bearbeitet. Das Buch ist sehr verständlich und gut geschrieben, eine tolle Zusammenfassung/Ausführung unterschiedlicher Theorien. So wurde mir das Skript "Sozialisation" der FernUni von einer anderen Seite näher gebracht - als Ergänzung super.Am Donnerstag ist die Klausur - ich werde berichten ob bestanden oder nicht :-)Nachtrag 03.11.16: bestanden :-)

Begleitend zu meinem einschlägigen Studium ist es noch einmal eine wunderbare, explizite Vertiefung. Meine Mit-Studierenden schwören auf dieses Buch. Eine unterstützende Lektüre zum Fernstudium an der Fernuni-Hagen.

Schneller Versand und das Buch ist sehr ansprechend gestaltet und auch für Einsteiger geeignet. Sehr gute Ergänzung für mein Studium.

Für die Grundlagen gut anzuwenden. Gerade in den Ausbildungen und Studien im pädagogischen Bereich. Gut und strukturiert aufgebaut. Zu empfehlen.

Tillmann verbindet in seinem Buch zwei Aspekte: Er stellt die Entwicklung von Persönlichkeiten in den Phasen der Kindheit, des Schulalters und der Jugend dar. Dabei stellt er die wichtigsten Theorien der Sozialsationsforschung an pragmatischen Beispielen vor. Über Freuds Psychoanalyse bis zu Habermas kommunikationstheoretischen Ansatz wird die Sozialisationswissenschaft anschaulich beschrieben. Das Buch ist nicht nur für Studierende der Soziologie interessant, sondern für alle, die sich mit der Entwicklung von Menschen in zivilisierten Gesellschaften beschäftigen!

Sehr ausführlich aber dennoch übersichtlich werden hier Sozialisationstheorien vorgestellt.Es ist eine Einführung in den Zusammenhang von Gesellschaft, Institution und Subjektwerdung - und dies ist meiner Meinung nach sehr gut gelungen.Maximale Informationsmenge auf minimalen Raum, bisher habe noch kein so gelungenes Buch zu dieser Thematik gelesen.Genau die richtige Einführungsliteratur für Studium oder privaten Gebrauch.

Guter, schnell verständlicher Klassiker zu dem Thema,manchmal leider etwas zu unpräzise und langatmig,trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen!
