I was frustrated to find the poems were published in English. When I read the product description, I thought it was in Bengali. But my Bengali students still like the book because it talks about their homeland, so I'm not wholly unhappy.
while i never needed the stories in the book the brief history of India was very useful. i have a collection of world folktales. this should be very interesting to read when i have time.
I received this book pretty quickly, and it's in good condition with one exception. The front cover and the first 1-2 pages had a slice in them, probably from an xacto knife. With a little packing tape, this was no problem. Otherwise, the book was in good condition, and I have really enjoyed reading it. It's very engaging and has a nice variety of poetry and prose.
